Would be interesting to see what the PH populus actually thinks on what has turned out to be a very emotive and divisive topic.

Next, winter tyres, THE BUBBLE BATH!
Winter Tyres, THE BREAKFAST CEREAL! Winter Tyres, THE BED LINEN SET! Merchandising, that's where it's at!

(Ten points for getting the reference).

Populace, by the way.

I think you should have 'I have' and 'I will' as two answers because the 'I will' might be too late to get them now!

Youshould add , I change my tyres every October so at least I have fresh tread on my all weather tyres

That would make more sense than buying winter tyres

I reckon we should get PH towers to design a PH sticker, incorporating the M+S and "mountain" logo.

I've got Vredstein Wintrac Extremes on all 4 wheels on the 123d. Yup the rears too.

I've also got a set on one of the Jags (Michelin Alpins).

They are good, and the difference with the 123d is tremendous. Before it had no grip at all and wouldn't move. Now it just goes, although there is some sliding.

The Jag was better in the snow from the outset, and I think the Alpins are more of a "snow" tyre than a "winter" tyre, so that does the job well.

A pleasant side effect is the fact that my mpg has increased dramatically, as I am having to quell my dalliances with the loud pedal. My wife wishes it would snow all year smile

Everyone knows you don't need Winters on the rear wheels of a 1 Series. Snow chains on the front, thats the way, have you not seen the pics?

Two sets of winter tyres. Hope you voted twice!
