I'm reasonably sure the one in the foreground is a Humber Hawk, but what about the one in the distance?

Lights are different as is the rear arches. Similar but not the same. Maybe a different model of The (spelling) 'Olympic' wink

Might be an EB Special. Definitely a '50s fibreglass-bodied special of some description. I bet there's a Ford Popular 1172cc sidevalve engine under the bonnet.

it is the very rare (identifiable by different arches and lack of hatch) Rochdale Olypmic... whistle

Possibly a Rochdale Riviera with a hardtop.

The hardtop doesn't look quite like the one in the link, but given they were making very low volumes (according to that website, total Riviera production was 50 and not all would have been sold with one) I would imagine they'd have made a few prototypes before settling on a design. What do we reckon?

Looks similiar (but not quite right) to a Norwegian made Troll. Troll never managed to make any production cars and all the six cars made where mules, thus meaning they may have som difference between each other. Most of the cars where sold of to the US.

This is a good site for helping identify '50's kit cars -

I reckon the Rochdale Riviera guess is probably the closest one.

Any takers on this?

I'm going through my Dad's photographs, there are loads, its nice to identify what's in them though!

I think you're right.

I even think the hard top could be the same as the one in your link - the foreshortened view from the rear in the original posting makes it look sleeker from behind than it actually is.

I think the bonnet is slightly too short and the wheelarch not flared enough for it to be a 105E, so I'm going to guess at a Hillman Husky Series III.

(There's too little chrome for it to be a Series V Minx, and no badge on the door)

105E Anglia. AKA Anglebox

It does look very Anglebox-like (particularly that wheel rim, which has a very 'Ford' look to it), but I'm not entirely convinced about the shape of the wheelarch. See here:
