Y'know, far beit from me to spread sceptisism amongst the populace of this green and pleasant, milk and honey filled land of ours. But if I were a sceptic-

(What do you mean - If!

OK! OK! I'm a sceptic, all right! I admit it! Just don't keep shouting at me OK!

Were was I? Oh Yes! If I were a sceptic I would think that all this stuff about, ever multiplying speed camera's (faster than rabbits I believe)

the ever spreading yellow line plague,(is there no end?)

Congestion charging(does this mean that if I have trouble breathing "I have to pay?)

Rip-off car parking fee's all over the land

and unregulated Clampers who are without doubt the direct descendants of Horse Thieves & Highwaymen.

Added to that, 80% of all we pay at the pump goes to
who? Yes you've guessed it: Gordon!
TO PAY FOR WHAT?

I don't see any benefit! The roads in my town are a bloody disgrace. The last time I saw roads that bad was while driving in East Germany shortly after re-unification! and the Russians hadn't touched THEM since 1945, you could still see the bullet holes in the walls of the buildings as well!

And if you think you can change it by voting for some other political party: FORGET IT! IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN!

So what does all this add up to? In my opinion!
GET THEM OFF THE ROADS!

If they can get say 20%-25% of us off the roads and we say to ourselves, "it's not worth it, I'll go by public transport ("what's that" I here you cry!) well it's something they have in Europe,

I've seen these very clean modern (and I DO mean Modern)tram thingy's, and Park & Ride schemes to the centre of town or city, here and there, well! all over the bloody place actually!

To return:- If they can get 20%-25% of us off the roads, what does that mean?

It means they don't have to spend money in the forthcoming years improving the road system doesn't it!

Is It just me being Paranoid? Am I going insane?
Or am I being Persecuted for driving a car?
Maybe it's just the Auchentoshan?

It's gotten so bad now that I DON'T take holiday breaks anymore in this country, finding the quickest route to the docks for the ferry by motorway, (at least that's what they call it)very gingerly.

Once deposited on the "other side" it's becomes a motorists nirvana, autobahns: without limits, without FEAR!

Oh! and if you are a business person in places like: Wales or Blackpool, Etc. Etc. Etc. and are wondering where all the people have gone.

I suggest have a rowdy exchange of views with your local Scamera Pratnership to Bloodywell EASE OFF on the persecution of your potential customers!

I feel tired now, I'm going outside,
"I may be some time."

Variously attributed to Mulder (to Scully) in The X-Files; and to Daffy in the TTA fanfic, The Newcomer, by Lee M. Withers, ... but mostly attributed to "Anon".

Also, "Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean you're not being followed!" - from 1960's hippie culture".

As far as I know it is a Woody Allen quote, maybe wrong though!
I think the original was 'Just because I'm paranoid...it doesn't mean they're not out to get me'
