I want to take the car over to Europe for a long weekend but understand that the French plod are not over welcoming to jammers. Is it a case of just leaving the B2 unit at home or will the jammer bit still be functional without it in the cradle??

AFAIK, if the jammer is plugged into the Origin B2, it will not trigger without the B2 being (a) there and (b) operating.

As you appear to be aware, even GPS-based speed camera "detection" devices like the B2 are illegal in France.

Be especially careful in the 20-50 Km radii around the Channel ports as the French police appear to be targeting British-registered vehicles.

Wasnt that always the case?
From what ive heard/seen its a better revenue genrator than the system here.
