For the last few years here the low life scrotes entertain themselves when walking home pissed late at night by going down the street kicking off door mirrors. Not just Mercedes, BMW, Audi; they also did the old wreck of a Nova 3 door in front of my house, that must have been in a frenzy of envy. It cannot be many sociopathic yobs that are doing this but you see the result of their labours everywhere. Another favorite (probably different scum) is twisting off the windscreen wipers, often whole streets at a time.
They have installed cameras in the centre. The scumbags are obviously stupid, but not that stupid. The mindless vandalism is now concentrated a little further out from the centre.
And where are our valiant local constabulary when law abiding, tax paying voters need protecting from the low life? They are on the bridge over the M40 fund raising with their laser gun.

Bruce,

I saw one pissed-up guy stumble out of a bar in Leamington recently obviously in a bad mood. He took a load of Bruce Lee-style kicks at a few cars, and seemed hell bent on destroying them. A bunch of bouncers then saw him doing this and proceeded to beat the crap out of him. I just watched

Any chance of saying hello to your XJR this weekend?

I know. In 3 years living in central Bristol (On a road running parallel to a main road - getting loads of passing pedestrians) I've lost 4 ariels and 3 wing mirrors, had 1 keying, various parking dings and found footprints on my roof countless times.

I think I've actually given up caring. Last time it happened, a few weeks ago, I just rolled my eyes and went to work. And if I'm honest, if something has to go I'd rather they hit a mirror that is relatively cheap/easy to replace than trash the paintwork.

(If I ever hear anyone at it tho I do keep an old pair of iceaxes acccessible)

Welcome to the real world.........

People (not necessarily 'low-lifes' as you put it) get trashed and do stupid things.

Live with it, as it's never going to change.

It's not that people don't expect it. It's never seeing a cop in the city centre at any time, but seeing lots speed trapping safe roads.
