I'm mildly surprised these never made it onto some Look At Me luxo-barge Maybach or suchlike, but they were never going to make it into mainstream cars of the future. A shame the coolest idea's never make it- same with all the super wedge designs of the 70's. I'd happily put up with the discomfort to drive around in something like this:
