A68 conditions
Discussion
Has anyone travelled on the A68 today? If so, what are the conditions like? We are due to travel from Fife to Co. Durham late this afternoon and was wondering whether a)We should wait and travel during daylight tomorrow or b) travel today, but use the A1 instead. If anyone could help me out I would be grateful - I have look on traffic scotland's website, and it doesn't flag up much for today - apart from the A720! Thanks.
You didn't look close enough on traffic scotland, the live camera normally take a picture every 15mins.

Thanks for your reply. I did look at the LEV- the S Soutra camera (931) showed the road looking not too great, but I wasn't sure if it was just the way the sun was shining making it look worse. Also there is huge sections not covered by the cameras that can be quite bad such as Pathhead.
If it was just me I would use the A1, knowing that it can often be bad around Newcastle/Gateshead (travelled that route every day for years not so long ago!), but my OH much prefers driving on the A68.
