...Am i the only person who sees the fuss made over his comments to be completely over the top and unfounded as in isn't that what we are used to him doing pushing the boundaries of taste and decency ?.

I love frankie boyle as i own his dvds and watch him on tv and also bought tickets to his show of which i missed due to the m5 shutting and i couldn't get to brum.

Surely the press will next be putting on their front page that we all live and die and that we beathe and need to eat and drink !.

Also does anybody know who watches these programmes of which is plainly obvious that will be offensive and then complains ?.

Pointless rant over.

Sorry for wasting your time.

Kavanagh.

I couldn't agree more...

Those who complain should check the batteries in their TV remote.

Though I suspect lots of the complainers are more interested in complaining than watching edgy comedy.

Personally I don't find his show funny (he's usually hilarious on Mock the Week though!) but luckily my TV recieves more than one channel and has an off button to boot.

Personally I can't stand him....

However, I know how to change channel and I completely agree that the complaints about his humour are bks. If you don't like his humour then change the fking channel, it's what I do and it works fine for me. I wouldn't bother complaining about him (and I'm not here, I'm supporting the OP)

And as for Boyle's taste in humour? A truly great comedian once said....

This ^^^^ he used to be funny on mock the week, but i thought that was more because there are other comedians on the show. This latest show hes done on channel 4 is rubbish, the jokes aren't very funny and he just ssems to be trying too hard to be controversial...

I'm glad i'm not on my own on this one.

I agree his show doesn't seem to be up to his best at times though.

I watched his show just to see what the fuss was all about.

Genuinely un-funny. I wasn't shocked, or offended, just didn't find it amusing.

But that's just my opinion. Should he be censored for saying things about other people? Hell no - it's a free country and there is an off button if people don't like it.

The Gestapo Daily Mail should get off his back aswell....

I don't find him at all funny - he's tasteless and aggressive. But that's just my personal preferences, I have a remote and can turn him off. I'll also defend his right to say what the hell he likes, it's a free country.

I suppose there could be minor case made for those of a "sensitive" nature who whilst flicking through the channels inadvertently come across something that offends them.
I'd put my MIL into this category. She's 88 (bless her) and she just cycles through the remote up and down button.
Should she be doing this and say for example, land on Gordon Ramseys F-Word, she is genuinely shocked by the bad language.

I'm not a fan of him and find him over the top rude, guess what? I just don't watch it. I don't see the papers obsession if it was genuinely bad TV then people wouldn't watch it and it would get cancelled but clearly alot of people like it.

Those complaining feel it's not fit to be aired, whether they watch it or not is irrelevant.

Has it not occurred to you that he puts this stuff in the show to deliberately generate publicity? There are certain topics that will inevitably make it into the papers if taken too far, which is excellent exposure for the show.

I also wonder if a polarised audience pushes people toward extremities of fandom, thus generating a more loyal fanbase...scratchchin

Maybe I should have done media studies. Seems like everyone else does these days!
