Hello...

Can anyone tell me which oil to use in my 2.0 T.Spark??!

My head has been swamped with different 'suggestions' from the Alfa dealer, Mechanics and other 156 owners.

Many thanks, in advance.

Darren.

Original spec is Selenia 20k.
It's a semi synth 10/40.
I always used it and it never gave me cause for concern.

Any good semi synthetic 10w40 for the TS, the fully synthetic 10w60 for the JTS

Nothing more complicated than that.

Yep, always used 10w40 semi synthetic oil in the Twin Spark, never with any problems.

You probably know this already but ... you need to check the oil level VERY frequently; my 2.0 TS guzzled the stuff.

This. I check weekly and top up when it drops below halfway between the two markers on the dipstick, which is roughly fortnightly.

Alfa changed the recommended oil for 2-litre TS engines to 10/60 a few years ago.

First I have heard of it?

The 2.0 JTS signalled the change to 10w60, but have never heard of a change to 10w40 for the 2.0 TS.
