Insurance help anyone??

Hi all, new to the site and before posting anything more intresting I just wondered if anyone could give me any advice on finding cheap car insurance for the other half. She is 18 and has been driving a year, has no no claims bonus however has never made a claim, she has a fiat seicento 900cc and is still getting quotes of over £2000. I understand insurance is getting higher at the minute, however last year was half of that, and also I am 20 years old with no no claims bonus and have managed to get insurance on a 306 1.9 d-turbo for £1600. Surely I am much higher risk. Can anyone shed any light? thanks.

Try Aviva, they were offering 12 months for the price of 10 a few weeks back. Also add a parent onto the insurance as a named driver, that often knocks the price down.

Thanks for that. Has anyone had any experience with these ''insured at certain times of day'' companies??

Try having a look at Elephant/Admiral/Bell (All the same company), Elephant definetely do a 10 month bonus accelarator policy meaning obviously you get your 1 years NCD in 10 months and its cheaper to pay for 10 months opposed to a year.

Try one of those "I wont insure you if you have a penis" companies? sheela wheels ect?

Was she driving as a named driver last year? She could possibly have a named drivers no claims if you go back to the company?
