Awesome. An impulse purchase i've never had the guts to go through with.
What's it like?
You have to remember its a tiny 660cc engine as such its never going to be balistic. What's it like?
It seems to pull ok at around 50mph in 5th too which is surprising, and its very low geared. 70mph= 5000 RPM, but it doesnt redline until 8500 rpm.
Its extremly flimsy built too, but its got air con, elec windows and sunroof.
I am still getting used to the engine noise, its a strange noise on full boost, very whiney.
Steering is light and very precise, though it seems to loose grip quickly in the ice and snow through its tiny 155 tyres as you would expect. I imagine with a bit more confidence it can be great fun as it has a LSD fitted too. I would be out now....but the Wife took it to work!
It actually reminds me of driving an original Mini, and nobody like being overtaken by it.
last night on my journey home I overtook 2 cars, when the Ford Kuga took offence and overtook me and the car in front with no room to do so just to prove a point. It was short lived as I then overtook them all (about 7 cars) and never saw it again.
Then it happened again with a 206 which re overtook me and slowed down in front of me? Some real dick heads out there.
When I arrived in my village a local Boy racer appeared about 5" off my back bumper.
I can see this being quite annoying.

I just took it to a disused industrial estate for a blast in the snow...Fantastic.
Mrs Nottyash managed to 360 it on her way to work the other day so I thought I would show her some 4 wheel drifting around a building.
Managed to spin it myself a couple of times much to her delight. Great fun

That looks like a nice and clean example of a 'zato. I own the original 'zato that Daihatsu used as a press car although its broken at the moment with a knackered turbo.
IF you want to talk to other 'zato owners there are a few over at www.kkitp.com who are all rather knowledgeable when it comes to fixing things and finding parts which can be a right nightmare.
