Which is your favourite three Savoy Operas?

I've got DVDs of all bar Utopia Limited and the Grand Duke, and tend to play them in sequence. I think my desert island choice would have to be the Mikado, generally reckoned to be the masterpiece, but I am also very fond of the Gondoliers. My third choice would have to be Ruddigore (very funny, and "When the night wind howls" is truly superb).

Sorry, thread title should, of course, read which are your favourite three Savoy Operas. Are there really no Gilbert and Sullivan fans here?

Difficult to answer as I like them all.
I have always had a soft spot for Iolanthe as it was the 1st one I ever encountered after having been asked to sing in the chorus when I was at college many years ago.
After that it's (surprisingly) Patience, because it's the one I first had a leading part in, playing Bunthorne.
The 3rd could be any of the others but if I have to choose today it would be Pirates.

Perhaps I should have asked "which one do you like the least"?

For me that would be Yeomen of the Guard. Some good bits in it, especially the "I have a song to sing-o" but overall too 'operatic' for me.
