Used M6 buying help
Discussion
Hi, been looking at a 55 M6 currently at Nottingham BMW
http://www.sytnernottinghambmw.co.uk/approved-used...
30k seems pretty decent value considering the mileage and being an BMW approved used car.
Questions:
What are the general service intervals on these beasts?
What would be the best warranty to get (money no option because I know if these things go kaput, they're fookin expensive)?
What is a must when looking at these (options and things to be aware of)?
Thanks for the help guys and gals.

Dealing with a dude called Phil....he's priced it up for me on 3 year HP and it's pretty high even with a 10k deposit...APR is mega.
I'm sure there's plenty of negotiation in it though.
It is cheap for the mileage compared to the market...don't fancy paying 4k less for a similar example from Bobs Motors.

It is not 30k but 31k - at least in my maths book £30,850 is a lot closer to £31,000 than to £30,000
BMW are working with crazy APRs for used cars at present. Had something similar on a E61 M5 and the APR was in the low 10s, and that's with £10k deposit too. The dealer intimated that there was not much room for negotiation from BMW Finance. At the end decided to walk away and buy for cash in January/Feb when they really feel the pinch and need to shift cars...

That's my old car! Traded her in a few weeks ago. For me a full BMW warranty is the only way to go however that looks like a BMW dealer so presumably it's sold with 12 months warranty? Car has just had a complete new engine (under the BMW warranty) and I had the clutch and flywheel done at 28,000 miles. I had the car since March 2009 and really enjoyed it. http://www.sytnernottinghambmw.co.uk/approved-used...

I think engine failure is very much the exception rather than the norm with these cars. The engine was changed at around 29,600 miles and the car had done almost spot on 30,000 when I traded it in so it's literally a brand new engine. Let me know if there's anything else I can tell you about the car.
