Pots and pans

I see there are plenty of threads recommending good knives .. I can't find any concerning pots and pans. I need new ones, thought I'd wait until the post-Christmas sales .. recommendations?

.. My last set (KitchenAid) were a disaster.

Bought some half price Anolon pans recently from Debenhams of all places. They are my first decent set of pans so I (thoughtfully) replaced all my metal kitchen utensils at the same time for nylon. Read so many threads about people complaining about decent pans not lasting the distance and every time they have used metal utensils and relentlessly dish washed the pans.

Roll on boxing days sales for a new set of knives and I am laughing.
