Really like that.

Only thing that would bug me is that I'm pretty sure I read in EVO that the rear "strut" brace isn't actually a proper brace at all.

Could be talking rubbish, but I'm fairly sure that's what they said.

Where do I start, firstly a cracking car, I was one of those that didnt "get" these when they were released. Fiancé got a regular Cooper S Works in 2007 and it's one of those cars I miss dearly, it was absolutely fantastic. Except if you wanted to do a weekly shop

Drove one of these earlier this year, and I wanted it so so bad but she wouldnt have it, an absolute hoot to drive.

Selling that JCW Mini is one of my biggest regrets ever.

You have made some nice upgrades, I particularly like the R56 Brembos, one thing that baffled me about the GP is lack of xenon headlights

Really nice job well done! My GP is by far the best car I've owned, so much fun. When I haven't driven it for a while, then take it for a spin, it always surprises me by how much fun it is. They didn't put xenon's in because it was all about "weight saving", although they would have been nice!

Love these, oh has a r53 cooper s which is an absolute ball to drive, quick tight and great fun.

Have you come up against a standard mcs? Must be a pocket rocket with the extra 50hp.

It's nice and everything, but I'm afraid that I "don't get it", if I only wanted two seats I'd get a two-seater and if I wanted a hot hatch I'd want 4 seats.

It was weight saving allegedly. I'd rather have them fitted though!

Had KW V1's on my old R53, completely transformed the handling and ride. Nice GP, any plans for performance upgrades? smile

cheers for all the comments guys,

will get some pics as soon as the coils are on, theyve been sitting in my garage for 2 weeks now its killing me!

Apexjimi - You remember correctly the "strut" in the rear is actually a "shopping bag stopper" lol has nothing to do with the chassis which is pants but i believe Mini had to put something there to stop your boot contents smacking you in the head when ever you braked!

Xenons is another annoying factor with these GP's, coming from having a few Renaultsports both of which had xenons going back to standard bulbs is a let down, the xenons are an easy retrofit tho but they go for £450>> for a pair and ive got more important areas to spend money on at the moment.

Russy01 - No i havent come up against a std MCS yet but like you say the extra ooooopph i cant see it being close, altho any JCW or modded MCS will be a match for this easily.

Disco you - tis a fair point, altho this is mainly my weekend car so doesnt get used much which means having 4 seats isnt that much of a big deal, the reason i got this car was mainly due to it being abit more special than the Megane R26 i got rid of for it, The Go kart handling - looks and supercharger whine are exactly what i need on a weekend blast! plus there quite rare and dont see many which is nice! R26's are getting very common now!

Hyperblue - yep got a few planned mods im looking to go for, wether ill ever do some of them tho is another question

Cams + tune
Manifold + de-cat
Oil catch can
New wheels
would love a cage and Bucket seats
xenons
colour coded arches

think thats it!, problem is they all appeal to me but cost alot of money! thats the problem with mini there such good fun to mod but it all adds up!

Nice car, but I like the styling of this one better.

Oh yes, the sticker on the back says "The closer you get, the slower I go". Brilliant.

hehe
