From what my son has learnt at the factory in September, the engine is being rebuilt, and the car actually has 'around' 850bhp, and a lot more torque than 650lb/ft. I wouldn't say it's unrealistic at all given the state of tune that it's in?

That may be a point, it's a highly tuned race engine, so "understressed" may be a bit of a sales tactic to try and shift it? How much is the owner asking for the car now anyway?

Under-stressed or not, I bet it's a hoot of fun to drive on a track.
