So what are we all doing??

I've 90% fitted a flatshifter, just waiting on two little adapters that I've drawn on cad so I can fit the pressure sensor in the linkage. But it all works as I've had it running and worked it by hand. Going to attack the bodywork over winter too and get rid of any crazing etc. Ceramic chrome coat the manifold in the new year methinks annnnd a bit of headwork/cams when I get round to it too. Also ripped every single sticker off it going for a more oldschool look smile

Got to keep busy while the weather ruins play time, though I quite enjoy beavering away in the garage too smile

I know it's Xmas but I'm bored already.

Anyone else messing or is it just me?

Are you sure it's worth tackling the crazing? Is the gel coat thick enough to be refinished smooth, and if you do that how long will it be before it crazes again?

I wouldn't be so bothered if it was small, but there's a couple that have crazed and chipped. I've got the right gelcoat etc to do it. If it goes again I'll have it sprayed. Can't stand not having straight bodywork!

Having just had my system Ceramic coated by Zircotec I don't think they do Chrome coatings. Lots of colours (although the white it the best performer).

This is the system in white

Camcoat do it, and they're only down the road.

Looks good Jeff. Do you have to tweak the map incase the manifold temp changes after coating?

I will get the car map tweaked but because it has a much better exhaust now (done by Powerspeed) rather than the coating.

Cermakrome ceramic coating lightly polished.
(tinge to pipes in picture is colour reflected from bodywork on the Fury).

Fairly easy to apply and heat cure (without an oven).
Did Angus's Radical 3 years ago and still lookng good.

The Zircotec coating requires that the exhaust is sent to them. They use a system with a plasma spray to coat the outside of the exhaust. They claim a 33% drop in surface temps with a 50 deg C drop in underbonnet temps. Not cheap though.

Full respray, new aeroscreen, new wheels, new harnesses, new clutch, new stator generator, new rectifier, improvement on sequential gearshift setup, oil cooler, intercom system, interior tidy-up. Not much then.

You've reminded me I've got a new aeroscreen on the way too. For some reason I've got an urge to get the wheels powdercoated a dark gold.....

I'll be putting mine back together after the summer hedge visit, and then persuading the wife that we can afford to keep it, fix up the v8 Landy, AND put a new kitchen in frown

I saw a pic of yours mating with a hedge in another thread... Doesn't look too bad though, or is it?
