You could be right Colin, seems more in line with current values!

There is a V8S on the same page for the £9.5K!

There is a scene in Blackadder Goes Forth in which our morose hero is faced with the prospect of George representing his defence in a court martial.

As usual, he doubts his friend's "brand of mindless optimism will contribute much to the proceedings." George replies that this is a shame. He was "hoping to play the mindless optimism card pretty strongly."

Perhaps George has an S2 for sale.

(Harsh but fair...)

Guilty conscience mode -

I dont think we should be judging this without seeing it first - we will be damaging his potential sale - if anything we should be talking up values! it is coming up for the summer after all! and there are only a few of these fine motors of ours still alive...

try this at the next car boot sale.

take a perfectly good item worth £5.

Advertise it for £1. No one buys it.

Advertise it for £10 and it sells.

People will feel more comfortable paying a higher price for something that gives the impression its worth the money.

.....yesssssssss.......but:

In order to talk up values to that level we will also have to get V8's up to around 15k, and 93/94 Chims to about 20k.

Quite a tall order. But I'm game -

So who'll give me 10 large ones for my S2. C'mon now don't be shy, you know it makes sense....luvverly jubbly etc etc.

not so sure that such a strict heirarchy exists - Good V8s are hens teeth - I think in time they will be veiwed in the same light as a Ferrari 250 SWB....

Only if you're throwing in the South of France with it.
