I think the ones we use are not owned/run by those of a Christian pursuasion, so I suspect that they are yes.

It's 1956 here on the Isle of Wight but I did notice the Kebab shop was open as I drove past on my way to walk the dog.

Is that any use?

yes

Isle of Man is also a little backward and incestuous.

Most odd; 90% of takeways appear to be operated by persons of, er, 'non-Christian extraction' so why are they shut? Ramadan, Diwali and Thingybob yes, but not Christmas!

Because they can. Perks of owning the business.

Around here they don't, only the English chip shops close. I even got a kebab last night after drinking all day it seemed like a great idea. Until they woke me up knocking on the door and I couldn't figure out what was going on.

Chinese takeout that I frequent was open on Christmas! hehe

Being Jewish it's something of a tradition to have "Chinese and a Movie" on Christmas.
