Solvent weld - how long to cure in the cold?
Discussion

The general rule seems to be at 0 degrees, set in 10mins, fully cured in 6hrs, but the curing time is ready for pressure test at 60bar so a waste doesn't need that. Half hour cup of tea and a warm up and you'll be fine!
eight hundred and seventy psi
I doubt the tube would take that.dirkgently said:

I doubt the tube would take that.I have recently achieved a BA {hons} in solvents, under the labour government iniativiiivee, and my dissertation to achieve such was upon the subject 'Dishwashers and the act of utilising upvc plastics to improve their interaction with foul water systems'.
By my calculation and utilisation of the safe EU targets of exposure, your newly installed pipework should be safe to utilise from June 6th this year, subject of course to you not being pregnant.
You should in order to protect yourself from future litigation ask all visitors to the premises to complete the following questionaire prior to allowing them within 15m of the installation.
1. Are you abnormally tired?
2. Do you have palpitations of the heart even when you don't exert yourself?
3. Do you often have painful tingling in some part of your body?
4. Do you often feel irritated without any particular reason?
5. Do you often feel depressed without any particular reason?
6. Do you often have problems with concentrating?
7. Do you have a short memory?
8. Do you often perspire without any particular reason?
9. Do you have any problems with buttoning and unbuttoning?
10. Do you generally find it hard to get the meaning from reading newspapers and books?
11. Have your relatives told you that you have a short memory?
12. Do you sometimes feel a tightness in your chest?
13. Do you often have to make notes about what you must remember?
14. Do you often have to go back and check things you have done such as turned off the stove, locked the door?
15. Do you have a headache at least once a week?
16. Are you less interested in sex than what you think is normal?
Less than 28 years of age, with more than four symptoms in the 16 questions, should be further checked by a physician.
28 years of age or older, more than six symptoms should be further checked by a physician.
Certainly that will protect you to some degree, but of course you will still require a suitability qualified professional to inspect the installation before use.
Be aware that though that John Prescott may still personally find you find you in breach of the act.
"If a person carrying out building work contravenes the Building
Regulations, the local authority or another person may decide to
take them to the magistrates’ court where they could be fined up
to £5000 for the contravention, and up to £50 for each day the
contravention continues after conviction (section 35 of the Building
Act 1984)."
So how smart do you feel now with your diy attitude?

I'd be fairly sure the pipework is ABS....

ks, so you're telling me that 3 years on a government sponsored education course and I'm not qualified to comment on this type of installation. No wonder these new students don't want to pay for them in future.
