But I get the full sound effects when playing the intro part of the disk.

But when I press play from the on-screen menu the movie starts and the sound drops out.

Been right through my collection and even disks I have heard before are effected now.

What have I done ?????

All Panasonic kit together, I'm sure it's just one button that's been pressed at the wrong time. It's just so frustrating when you have to have the sound through the telly only.

Is the source set to HDMI (BD) rather than AV (TV)?

Check the audio menu for a "downmix" option, set to 'stereo' or 'mono' instead of 'surround'

Try pressing the 'EXT-IN' button on your home cinema remote. Press 'Status' and it should show 'TV AUDIO' on the unit, if not use the arrow buttons on teh remote to select this setting.
