I`ve recently fitted new door seal rubbers, and have cut the bottom in 2 places to make the flats for the water drainage, however I am not having much luck when it comes to glueing the flap of the seal down to make the flat part.
I have tried superglue, serious glue, bostick, eve stick, glue gun stick, araldite, and some special 2 pack stuff from the aero industry, but after a day or so it just comes off again, getting rather fustrated now for such a relatively simple job.
I am even clamping the rubber in place and leaving for 24 hours, but nothing I`ve found so far is willing to stick 2 pieces of rubber together, so lets have some ideas on the best glue to use please, before I loose my cool, rip the seals out and set fire to the car

I hope you've got glue on those crossed fingers.I've been thinking, are you leaving the seal to stick out in the garage? It might be prudent to bring it into the house as the glue may not do its job in the current chilly weather conditions.
Hi there, When the glue comes unstuck is it after the door has been closed a few times?
Could it be that when the door is closed as it squeezes the seal is it creating pressure inside the seal causing it to "POP" open? If this is the case I would have thought that only one of the two would pop (assuming that there are two like on the chimp). If this is the case then maybe a small hole burnt through the underside of the seal with a soldering iron could provide a fix (this is what fixed mine).
If the seal pops apart under it's own strength then it maybe that the seal has a high silicone content so you would need to remove this from the surface before the glue can bond correctly.
Commercial tyre repair places use a good pre vulcanising solution that does a good job of silicone/mould release agent removal.
