investment property - your reccomendations please :)

I currently have 3 flats down here in Somerset. I'm looking to invest in another one, but am thinking about looking much further afield. Any reccomendations from anybody please ?
I have been looking at Glasgow, simply because of the prices/rental returns. I know every town/city has it's Sh*@ holes, so some advise on areas would be appreciated.
I have had a terrible time lately getting a mortgage for a house I have been trying to buy for myself. I have excellent credit and a 25% deposit, and I was still having a nightmare ! I realise it's difficult to get a mortgage at the moment, so nice cheap places only please, so I can keep my deposit high.
I dont mind places in disrepair either.
