Was feeling a little bit bored today and with a slight thaw on the go decided to give the RAF_gti household cars a quick wash.

They have previously been prepped with Red Moose Glaze and Collinite 476, with the 476 providing protection cleaning the winter muck off was a breeze.

Unfortunately the [-]photographer[/]camera hasn't captured the shininess particularly well frown

The MX-5 is mine, I've had it just under a month now covering 1500 miles in it already, not bad considering the weather we've had! It's the 2.0 Sport model and is standard so far, I'm planning on having the lowering springs fitted along with the GEO sorting by WiM, I also need to fit clear side repeaters as the orange ones look awful. The calipers could also do with being repainted, currently deciding to go for either red or silver.

The 500 is my OH's, it has the performance of a lethargic slug but it looks cute and she loves it, can't really ask for much more than that! The red paintwork looks gorgeous in the metal even if it is a pain to capture on camera.

How many miles has the 500 done. They do imporve with miles and ours is reasonable good now considering what engine is in it.

I guess I was being a little unfair, maintaining a decent M-Way/A-road speed is easy enough, it's when you 'need' acceleration that it becomes a problem!

Yes don't disagree with you on that. My 500 has done about 9,000 miles and is not too bad. I know of someone on the Fiat forum who had theirs remapped and although it was allegedly good he ended up with a flashing eml light. I spoke to DMS and they proposed a pretty reasonable remap, but I thought I had better things to spend £500 on.

Even if it was my car I can't imagine wanting to have it remapped, I imagine sticking my legs out the bottom Flintstone style would have a better effect!

Wow, 6 degrees out there today so what else to do apart from break out the power washer biggrin

Thannkfully managed to get it in just the right light, combined with the red brickwork the colours are rather tasty.

Needs lowering, looks like it's on stilts, as do most MK3 MX5s.

PZ Brilliant black. An absolute sod to keep clean, and paint thats as soft as butter and marks when you look at it.

But - on those odd occasions its clean and polished, it dont half look good doesnt it?
