A family member has won a massive 7 person jucuzzi which he obviously does not want. He's Given me the job of selling it for him as he's pretty much computer illiterate. I first thought bay would be my best option but then wondered if there are sites specifically for advertising this kind of thing for refurbs or new builds on the cheap.
This is not an ad as I don't even know what model, price, anything as yet. Just wondering if anyone can point me to my best options.
Thanks.

Yes but they will give you a trade price and promptly resell it. You might as well sell it direct on eBay and get some of the margin yourself.

depends if it's decent or just chinese....

ask for a cash alternative. or approach a dealer and agree for them to sell it on your behalf. they will make on the warranty and installation and will effectively have a free demo model until it sells.

if you are anywhere near Sheffield, I have a mate who may be interested in the latter.

Not sure if its chinese or what make it is yet. It retails at 8k, He wants 4.5 for it and said whatever i get over that is mine. So i was thinking of asking 5.5k and seeing what offers i get. I'd imagine dealers get a pretty large markup on this kind of thing so dont think they would be that keen.
Worth a few phonecalls to check it out though.

Why did he enter a competition for a prize he didn't want?

I think you might struggle even at 5.5k. you can offer no warranty or installation service. effectively, any buyer is taking a sizeable gamble on your credentials.

i know i can get a non chinese 6 person tub with built in AV for roughly what you're after. a renovation/diy forum may bear fruit but i'd suggest your family member revise his expectatons if he doesn't want it to still be in his garage in 6mths time.

It has a warranty. but no instalation.

He didn't exactly win it through a competition. He runs a buisness, If he sells so much of a product he gets all kinds of things from the manufacturers. Totally unrelated usually to what he sells, its fairly bizzare. Anyway, i guess he had a good year and is now trying to shift this monstrosity. Its been good in the past, he's had big tellys, playstaions for the kids. But this is harder to shift.
The buyer will have the tub delivered to them.

I bet its a cheap chinese one which frankly are all garbage and many of them are downright dangerous.

Dont be fooled with it having some sort of hint of americanism in the name such as the name of some american town/state.

If its a known brand such as Master Spa you wont have too many problems selling it, assuming you dont ask crazy money for it.

Try to get the make and model of it.(oh and the name of the supplier, as there is one well known shark out there who is to be avoided at all costs)

I would think the real trade cost on something like this is close to £2-3000. The on costs of selling, displaying and setting up must be huge. Without the after care service, I would say you will struggle to get over £3000.

But depending on who is selling, we will then get into the "fk me, how much do the thieving bds take to host my item globally and offer it for sale" mentality

Hi again.

I finally got the details of this today. It turns out it's actually a hot tub. But made by the brand Jacuzzi.

Anyway. There was a little interest on here so if anyone wanted one get in contact.
