Hello everybody,
I'm reading this forum with interest since several years (approx. 2 years) and I'm really in love of the Cerberas and I'd like to "stole" one of this in the future and import it in France!
As you probably understood, I'm one of the numerous French (trying to speak and write correct English) which dream to drive a Cerbera in total legality and that's not an easy job in France.

Before buying a car, I'm retrieving all the data needed for the registration (I know that in France at least 1 Cerbera is registered but the guys don't communicate at all even on the documents they use to register).
That's why I'm here with this thread.
Note: All the data and documents collected will be shared by simple request
Here is the main document so please tell me if I do some mistakes or complete the missing data. I will periodically update this post with your answers.
Thanks everybody for your help!

Update: see French TVR forum HERE for updated datas (you need to be registered to the forum and the importation group)

RHD cars have a rear fog lamp on the driver's side and a reversing lamp on the the opposite side. Swap the lamp clusters for ones off a LHD Ford Fiesta (1989 - 1995). For cars with TVR lamps, it's the same layout but it's easier to do: remove the individual fog and reverse lamps and swap them to the opposite side. In both cases the wiring would need modifying to suit.
Hi there,
for front light conversion (round headlamps) contact Eckhard Pohlmann (www.acs-pro.de). He has everything for right hand side traffic on stock and at a good price. Most people in Germany buy from him. He speaks English.
Bonne chance! Leo

Hi,
acs-pro is a shop, not a garage.
Eckhard is one of the most knowledgeable people in Germany for TVR and as I said he has everything in stock or has easy access to all parts also from the UK. He also initiates re-production of TVR parts with the original suppliers when things are not available any more (e.g. radiators, wind screens etc.).

Hi Joris
,
I imported my Cerbera into Luxembourg 6 years ago. The 'agreation' department of the 'Controle Technique' were complete 'bâtardes' and it took me 6 months to convince them that I was serious about it. Worth it in the long run though.
Someone has mentioned lights.
Rear lights Mine is a series II (2001) so it meant having to cut through the Silkaflex, which glues the rear, external lenses onto the 'carosserie' and remove the lenses. You then unscrew the coloured lenses of Fog and Reverse lights, swap them over and glue the covers back on. Then swap over the electric cables on the back wall of the boot.
Front lights mean you have to take the front wheels off, remove the inspection covers, which are screwed onto the front face of each wheelarch by 3 or 4 self-tappers, loosten two of the retaining screws, which keep the dipped-beam bulb in place, extract the third screw. You can then turn the bulb housings the required amount of degrees ( They have two positions: One for UK and one for the continent ). Replace third screw and tighten all three).
Where in France are you ??
Bon chnace
