Panasonic S, X and G series - differences?

If I plump for a 37" inch S20 rather than a G20 am I going to see a massive difference?

Our viewing is DVD (chuggington!) for the kids, terrestrial tv via satellite at the moment with x box 360 connected via the 3 leads option.

I`m in exactly the same boat, I`m just about to go for the S20 as it seems it has all I need but for a few more quid I could get the G20, it`s been hard enough to narrow it down to the S20 anyway and now more confusion.

S20 is decent - lacks the THX mode for best preset user mode, and Freeview HD, and so forth.
For the small relative difference over going with the 42G20 for however long you hang on to a TV before changing, is it not worth pushing the budget.
If the 360 is the original one, then it'll be Component (Red/Grn/Blue) connection, which is still catered for, so you'll benefit from HD capabilities, but not the native 1080p games which would require the HDMI version.

I know; it's a nightmare. Especially when trying to persuade the wife that paying the extra £200 now is worth it (a G over an S). Due to restrictions on space I can't physically fit a 42inch into our 'tv' area.

If your not Tech savvy then the S will do you a very good job, only entertain the more expensive models if your a serious TV watcher
