With the Euro being so strong currently, is there a reasonably priced European destination that exists any more?
A bog standard 2 weeks in a French gite last year ended up being ludicrously expensive, especially when eating out twice a day as a family.
Even a quick glance at Bulgaria made it seem fairly expensive still.
ANy siggestions even outside Europe?

Some of Spain is still reasonable, the south as long as you stay away from the main areas.

Forget France, it was more expensive than the UK last time I was tehre. I'd be looking at the non Euro countries - surprised Bulgaria is so expensive, but I wonder if you can save more off the beaten track?

Croatia? Same story I'm sure, you can spend as much as you want but it was pretty reasonable away from the resorts last time I went (admittedly 5 years ago...)

Otherwise, stump up the extra and get yourself over to Asia as your cash will go a lot further - if you're staying more than a week or so it will probably pay for itself. Though perhaps not if you have kids with you.

Bulgaria is still cheap, just not as cheap as it was three years ago when I was first there.

can stay in a better hotel the hauza sharm beach for £258 which is a 5 star - ok its not really a true 5 star but still not bad for peanuts.

turkey is one of those places that is now on a par with the rest of europe, even though they are still using the turkish lira, we didn`t find it that cheap last year.

If you go to Tenerife just make sure you are in a main holiday resort, it was pricey outside where we were staying and the food was poor to be honest.
