Hello there.
I've just swapped my Lotus Se7en kit for a 2003 Sportwaggon.
I needed a slightly more 'practical toy' but, didn't want to lose the speed and I've always liked the quirky looking/Q Car Sportwaggon.
It's been running great but, have just experienced the first niggle.
The top hose plastic connection onto the radiator has cracked, spraying coolant around the engine bay. Radweld enabled me to limp home.
Now it's the question of replacement radiator...
I'm looking to do some track days next year and in the future probably some mild tuning tweaks (just running with freeflowing aftermarket exhaust & inlet filter currently).
Is it now an opportunity to fit an 'uprated' radiator or is the standard one perfectly adequate?
(apologies in advance if this is covered previously, am new to this etc).
Thanks

I dont know the answer to your question, however, exactly the same thing happened to me on the M25 a few months back (in the road works section) I got a replacement hose on ebay from a breakers. 20 pounds.

The standard rad is a bit heavy but is very good at it's job.

You can buy nice shiny 'uprated' rads but they are more fragile and the alloy ones are more prone to corrosion ime.

Used two oe pattern parts off ebay on my car with no issue.
Only bought the second after putting a hole in the first hitting a badger.

£38 usually.

No point paying more imho, car is used hard, on track etc at 665bhp and no issue with water temps

Many thanks for the fast responses.
I'll set about sorting out a replacement standard unit.

Sorry, I misread your post - my pipe popped, not part of the rad itself...
