Mk1 hood plastic window but no zip?

On the lookout for another mk1 as mine is showing it's age and it's generally cheaper to buy one in better condition than to do one up. Looked at one today that had a plastic rear screen that did not unzip? Not seen one of those before, has anyone else? Must be non standard but is this a "bad" thing?

My eunos doesn't unzip. guess it's been replaced at some point. Everything was fine until I dropped the roof one crisp January morning - the screen split. Fixed it by stitching together by drilling holes and tie-wraps. Bit of gaffa tape to keep the worst of the water out. Run with the top down mainly so no problem. Local car trimmer has quoted £100 to cut the screen out and fit a new one. It's on my to-do list.
