My friend is in Basingstoke but doesn't know a huge amount of people there having moved with an ex who subsequently turned out to be a tt.

She's looking for friendship, and maybe more long term, but having two young children limits her chances to get out and about. Anyone have any (decent, polite) suggestions on ways she can get out to meet people. She has recently completed a beginners mechanics course but other than trawling the bars does anyone have any ideas?

Or are you single, human wink , between 24-30 and looking for a date?

I'm assuming she's rather into her cars? Bring her along to the monthly Ace Cafe meetings.

It's in North London near Park Royal. Next one is the 10th wink

Is it essentially to have at least one of those or is there some scope for movement?

How active is she?
The crowd at Basingstoke Adult Gymnastic club are a good bunch and there are (were last time I was there) some decent guys there. They also do parkour lessons there too which was always busy but no idea what they are like.
I expect a bar job is out of the question if she has off-spring but that is an instant social life?

Hmm, not sure about her flexibility (!) but think she used to do athletics. Maybe a running club or the like might be a good shout...

Well I have 87% human DNA, I'm mostly toilet trained and eat well out of the hand. I've stopped wearing pants on my head and generally leave my genital under the dining table during formal meals these days.

Close enough?

That's quite some sweet talk you've got going on there too Pete!

Someone suggested one of the car meets - maybe I'll drag her along to the next one.

lisa/chr55y - you guys have any decent single friends for my mate? (male preferably, criteria already listed ... and then blatantly disregarded by Diablo! wink )
