according to the instructions the glass is removable for cleaning, and there's a seperate, removable crumb tray.

I've had my eye on one of these since I saw one on a program a couple of months ago. The old toaster gave up the ghost recently - perfect timing. So I went out and got this before the Doris had any chance of buying some rank tat.

I bought one of these

Cheap Cappuccino maker, works a treat and better than all the other machines I've tried.

I bought one of these cheese toastie makers a few years ago
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4...
and have never washed it with soapy water only wiped the plates with a bit of kitchen roll to take off the excess fat etc after use and it makes perfect toasties every time. More than worth the money.

I have this problem too, we need a bin but it seems the sub Brabantia ones either look crap or are crap. I just can't seem to spend that sort of money on a bin. So for now its a carrier bag on a door handle biglaugh

If you want gadgets, then surely the electrolux scan toaster is the ultimate.
Can't say I've ever seen any of my customers have them in our kitchens, so maybe they never made it to the market place

Bought one of their "use carrier bag on inside of cupboard door" things. Ace.

That toaster looks like a torture device for bread.

Just paid £93 (argos) for a Simplehuman bin reduced from £150 in the sales to go with my Magimix 4 slice toaster and kettle in brushed steel £200 from John Lewis.
