frount fuel lines, how much

little winter job I have promised myself I would do some time is replace the front fuel tiles, Now having got rid of xmas I though I would make a start, so took the plenum off thinking I would then have room to get my hands in and remove each line one by one.
to my horror theres not even room to get one hand in,

So my question to any one who has done it is how much do you have to take off the top of the engine, or is there another way.

When I did mine it was more a case of doing it by touch.

I reached round, following the pipes from the fuel rail down to where they meet the metal pipes then used a 1/4" ratchet and socket to undo the hose clip by touch. Removing the plenum makes it easier but it's still not simple. You could go all the way and remove the inlets to to give you better access but it's not required.

Top tip: A squirt of silicon spray makes the pipes go on 100 times easier

You just have to picture the job in your mind, close your eyes and let the force guide you Wait till you do the return line, you'll wish you were doing the feed again!

dont forget to wear a tie/suit whilst changing the fuel lines it helps force or no force !!!

Gents, a question.
having now removed the old pipes I am as most of are not, happy with the position of the feed line relative to the exhaust, so my question is can you move/ bend the copper feed pipe, much before it breaks and gives you a big big problem,
Has anybody done this before

Very malleable Just make sure you don't kink it!
