Hi just a bit of advice was planning on getting the car remapped by yellowshed and how do I go about checking to make sure it's had the upgrade. I have a receipt from previous owner stating ecu upgrade at a cost of 729.00 at noble automotive in 2004 would this amount be about right for the mappable ecu

I had my car remapped last January by Mike Tuckwood at a cost of £450 plus vat, I think Trevor is a similar cost but I guess it may depend on what you are having done

You could just take a look at the ecu, its easy to get to. I think it would have mbe on it if its been upgraded.

Remove the rear drivers wheel, take the lining off and there is the ECU. That cost is not for the upgrade ECU as it's in the thousands. That possible could be a replacement 2nd hand unit or something or a very good deal.

Don't think there is any point in changing the MBE Ecu unless you require additional functions.

Thanks for the replies have looked at the ecu and has the noble logo and gb f35 and j25 on front does this indicate it's the old style ecu ? And if so anyone have any ideas to what could have been done to it as have a receipt saying that it was upgraded by noble or modified ? Any feedback would be appretiated thanks jim

Looked on strike engine website and they say noble did a mod on the ecu taking it to 340bhp and better engine response and a fatter torque curve so basically wondering if it has a boost controller or not but will try and post a pic
