Just dragged my old Madcap out of the garage, and it's looking very sorry for itself.
First off I want to replace the shocks as the ones on it are shot. I want to up grade to some better after market ones.
So my question is what ones will fit?
I've looked on various forums, but none have much in the way of answers.

Do you mean in terms of specific Tamiya Hop_up parts or generic alternatives?

Tried http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/ ?

Very, very helpful forum. Alternatively, sell it to me, as is, and I'll bring it back to life and bash it around the local park all summer. biggrin

Any decent shocks that will fit, not too worried if they are Tamiya or not.

I won't be selling it HBM, to many good memories of bashing it around, that's the main reason for getting it up and running again.

I had one of them as my first R/C car, which should be still upstairs in the loft. If I remember rightly the shocks aren’t that good to start with, the screw head of the shock rod sits inside a rubber tube inside the shock body.

If you change the motor for a more powerful one, watch out for the motor plate, mine use to flex and move the motor pinion away from the spur gear. So I made new motor plate.

It’s not good I’ve started looking at Tamiya RC cars on a certain auction website

Thanks Rhino, I had heard about the motor plate needing to be replaced, if a better motor is going to be used.
I hadn't come across that site Hos, I'll have a proper read later.
