Head light upgrade

Can anyone recommend a upgrade for the head lights on a T350? Is it simply changing the bulbs?

I was driving in heavy fog the other night and the head lights were shockingly bad.

Seriously though, those 'nightbreaker' halogen bulbs are probably the best bet. Do a search on HID fitments to T cars - IMO its not worth the hassle, but you're welcome to try and let us know how it goes

Cheers for that link Tref, think all those options would do a better job than my current lights

I'm getting Jason to fit that big bore exhaust next week so thought I'd get him to upgrade the headlights at the same time.

Are you coming on the PH meet on the 2nd in Gillingham?

I just upgraded the bulbs on mine and it made a huge improvement, heard too many bad stories about the HID conversions srewing up the electrics.
I purchased a pair of Philips X-treme power 80% bulbs from here -

At the time (though it is a while ago) entering the code tvrcc into the codes box at checkout gave a 10% discount too. Double check though if yours are H4 or H7, if you put a Tamora into their car finder for example it comes up with an H4 required, they don't list a T350 and the H7s were right for mine.

Sorry, I'm not in country at the moment. We spend Christmas/New Year in our second home in Muscat. Now this place could do with a TVR or two.

Little bit too warm in Summer though - there are 3 (IIRC) Chims in Dubai, I imagine it gets a bit warm inside them due to poor A/C!

Muscat's an unusual place for a second home - never ventured down there when I lived in the UAE, but did do a boat trip out of Dibba once which was nice.

We love it, plus Dubai is only 4-5 hours drive. Took a 4x4 up the Jebel Mountains yesterday, real offloading! I'm toying with buying a Chimaera from the UAE ones you see for sale occasionally. It would be ideal for winter cruising and racing the locals (when in Rome...).

I think Jebel Hafeet is one of the best driving roads in the world - just wish I had the Tiv there to use it!

Did you only upgrade the dipped beams or both full and dipped beam.

I'm a little confused by the website, there are loads of H4 & H7 bulbs on offer

Well i bought the H7 Philips ones in the end. There seemed to have a good review and these have been fitted to a T350 before.

The TVRCC code worked too, so ended up getting them for a little over £25.

Just need to buy a Jack and Axle Stands to fit them now

the easiest looking jobs...

One bulb is changed via the engine bay btw. You might be able to get to the other by putting the wheel on full lock.
