Just been totally shocked and saddened to read on Dailysportscar that Craig Dawson passed away in hospital yesterday, due to complications from the bowel cancer he had been fighting for the last couple of months. He was just 30 years old.

I knew Craig through his various forays into Britcar as a driver, engineer, team manager and TV pundit. He was a top man, and always one for reasonable, rational and sensible discussion.

There are others on this forum who knew him far better than me, who can no doubt pay more meaningful tributes. My thoughts are with Andy and the rest of the family after this devastating news.

My thoughts go out to Craigs family and friends

Craig was a true gent and a good friend for the time I knew him. It has left me shell shocked that he has gone and I will miss him a great deal.

The world has lost a true hero and mentor.

Rest in Peace.

30 years old. What a shame.

I cannot believe this very sad news.
In this sport of ours you come across a very varied bunch of people, and some you get on with, Craig immediately fell into this group. being half my age did not matter to him as his press on manner was I felt a breath of fresh air .
Through his Hot Hatch and Britcar races it was allways fun to watch his antics and abilites grow.
Thanks mr Dawson jnr.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends .

Bernie & Andy Bowden.
