For the last few weeks I have been hearing a clunk from rear right and wondering what it is - nothing has happened yet and as I only have a few hundred miles to 6k service I thought I would leave it (to add to the rest of the list)

It tends to happen on a slow right turn, or when pulling away from rest. It sounds like a cross between something (cable) is under tension then released and the noise you get when the car has been standing for a few days you back up and the rear brakes unlock.

Someone let me know if I'm about to lose a wheel in mid flight

I don't want to alarm you, but I had a similar type of noise from the rear right of my Chimaera last year.
Having had the car for 2 months the noise started and I continued to drive it for a number of days until it began to get worse and cause vibration. I pulled into the kerb and stopped just as my rear right shock absorber actually snapped causing the car to drop and the shock to penetrate through the underside of the parcel shelf. RAC and the Repair Centre said that they had never seen anything like it happen before and surmised that it was a hairline crack in the casting. It frightens me to think what may have happened if I had been travelling at speed.

If I were you I would get it checked out just to be on the safe side.
