sag, what a great car.

for the first time in the last couple of months since owning my sagaris, I finally managed a decent run today down in Cardiff, and now really appreciate what a truly stunning car this is.
the mrs and I headed up to Cheltenham for a midweek break from all the xmas stuff, stayed in a nice hotel and then this morning headed down to south wales to meet up with my brother inlaw, another tvr nut, so with him in the passenger seat, the mrs left to talk womens stuff with her sister inlaw, we headed down to cardiff bay to play in the tunnels, a favourite trip of mine whenever I`m in that neck of the woods, and o`h boy was I grinning like a t
t blasting through the tunnels so many times we lost count, lots of waves and flashing of headlights from other motorists, who I assume were emjoying the sound as much as we were
then as the roads were pretty good had a good blast around some twisty bits, this is definately an awesome motor, I was impressed by the T350 but this just takes it up a notch IMHO.
one of the memorable parts of the last 3 days was a lad in a garage this evening in Portsmouth, I stopped to get fuel before getting on the car ferry home, and this young chap was with mates and filling his corsa admiring the car, " did you customise that yourself mate? " he asks
after a brief explanation he begged me to give it a bit going up the road, so duly obliged, and returning back down the same road to get to the ferry was rewarded with a pretty chuffed bloke waving like a loony
can`t wait until the summer weather, in the meantime it will take me ages to clean it now!

How does a standard Sag compare to a standard Griff 500 then Clive?

its hard to compare really, you`ve got to remember one is just 5 years old, the other was 10 years older and it wasn`t standard for long
on the whole I`d say its in a different league, but the griff does have that low down torque that the speed six lacks, but then you could say the speed six is better as its a revvier car and more fun to drive working the box.
it certainly floats my boat, as for the handling the griff was nowhere near as good.

Not sure I like the sound of that - another Sagaris in Cardiff, kind of liked being unique!!! Only joking, hope you enjoy it and Red Glow Pearl looks great on a SagSAGTAFF

Cheers for the comparison. I have been wondering if I did ever find the extra capital required to upgrade to a Sag whether I would be happy with it. One thing I do love about the Griff is the low down torque but then I do love the brutal styling of the Sag.
