They are supposed to be low risk. Ford is an Open Prison (it used to be a Royal Naval Air Station.

I live about 20 miles from Ford and thought you'd have to break in to cause any damage to it?

It does seem that inappropriate inmates have been allocated to Ford because of lack of space at other prisons.

But I doubt that the more normal type of offender found at Ford is likely to riot.
