Looking at freshening up our kitchen, and top of the list of changes is a new oven.

After looking at various options including built under double ovens we thought we'd settled on the Bosch HBA43B250B as we decided a double oven might well just leave us with two ovens that are smaller than we may need for some occasions, my girlfriend likes the fact we could fit telescopic rails into it, and its a brand we trust.
Total price with the rails is around £620.

Went into B&Q today however and spotted this, the Samsung BQ1S6T077.
Seems to fit the bill perfectly as we could get it for around £580, it comes with the telescopic rails already built in, and there's a removable shelf which allows you to set the top and bottom of the oven to separate temperatures - so seems like the perfect compromise between a single and a double oven?

First question is while I'm familiar with Samsung as an LCD and electronics manufacturer, are there home appliances any good?

Second of all is the dual cook mode as good as it sounds? Seems like its all things to all people with the ability to save energy if you only need half the capacity, run the oven at two separate temperatures, or have a single large oven when required, but does it work that well in practice?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. smile

We recently got one of these

http://www.hotpoint.co.uk/hotpoint/cooking_newstyl...

it's pretty fab as you really get 3 ovens in one, the top small and bottom can be used together with seperate controls or you can take out the middle shelf and have one big one

Went with the Samsung in the end, as managed to find good prices on it and the hob. Around £530 for the oven and £230 for the hob.

Good to hear the dual zone cooking thing isn't just a load of hot air (relatively speaking).
