1.Rust. If your not mechanically minded bring a friend who knows what hes looking at with you. Also poor reapirs by previous owners. Give it a very good going over.

2.Yes, with the Zetec it should keep up with modern traffic and should be a nice drive. Although make sure you have a garage as using it during the winter will deteriorate the bodywork quicker due to road salts. Ideally make sure you have the use of another car, incase the Capri needs work so you won't be stuck without a car.

3.Maybe slightly over priced, but if it is mint it would definately be worth £3,500 to the right person. It won't depreciate in value it wil only increase.

So its a yes from me.

-you can use it every day but it'll get a bit grating and the body will suffer.
-D/E is an appalling year for corrosion. check rear chassis rails, scuttle, roof around sunroof, inner wing tops under bonnet, front valance, strut tops in front, A pillars and pretty much everything else.
-he's a GOOD 1500 quid tall on that price. you could have mine for less than that (if it were for sale) and that's a mint 24v cosworth.

If it is light surface rust then a wire brush etc and treat and repaint.
Anythimg serious is best treated with an angle grinder and welder.
