Doing a good deal at the moment if any ones interested. £99 doesn't include brush though, not that you should be using it on your PAJ biggrin

I couldn't find anyone close online to that price ( although bound to be proved wrong)

My next door neighbour got a pressure washer for xmas with loads of accessories. He was using a brush type implement that span round with the water pressure. He has a black car! I darent look at it as I know it is now going to be covered in masses of swirl marks.

Can well believe it. I shall be adding a snow foam attachment to it for pre wash to help get dirt off before hand washing polishing :-)

An inch of snow foam in that, topped up with warm water is enough to do the Mondy and the Skode.

I brought a Nilfisk from Argos and it hasnt let me down jet washed a big patio cars nearly every weekend in the summer and best of all it was all paid for off my nectar points! It has a 2 Year warranty too so you cant really go wrong!

I had a karcher before this it packed up with a pulsing motor within about a year of owning it - i noticed the pressure dropped on it within about 6 months.

Don't get Karchers with plastic pumps - had 2 and they last 5 minutes. Nilfisk are cheaper and the ones with aluminium pumps last forever. Mine was £40 and has been a lot more robust. No idea why people buy Karchers, they're st.

I've just reserved one of the Nilfisk pressure washers from Argos, thanks for the tip guys and they get great reviews.
Does anyone know what fitting they are if I want to order a snow foam lance?
Nilfisk isn't mentioned in the list of Connection Types.

Hey Barreti, Nilfisk have the same fitting as ALTO, so order that and you should be fine.

For 100% safe ordering, I'd contact them just to be sure.

Cheers

Thats the one I ended up with. Haven't read a duff write up of it yet.

To be fair, I know Karcher get bad press but mine lasted a few years before it gave up the ghost, then it proper gave up....bit of pulsing, jet washing away then BANG...I think the motor blew apart inside as it just started gushing mains water....nice!

Really pleased I read this thread. Just waiting for the formalities to go through on a new house and if all goes well I'll have a driveway and access to the back for a pressure washer (I have no choice but to go to a hand car wash with both at the moment). Was all set to look into a Karcher as it's a brand I know and I thought were ok. How wrong I was, thanks chaps.

My 2 year old pressure washer has died a death over winter (must have had some water left in it).

Are they repairable? If not can someone suggest another one for me? I have the foam lance that Podie mentions so in terms of keeping the costs down it might have to be another Karcher!
