just wondering where the best place was to purchase tickets for the f1 spa race this year? any help regarding best prices and viewing would be gratefully recieved

I went last year and the cheapest place was from the offical spa site its self, and the earlier you book the cheaper it is

We got general admission and spent Friday walking around, Qualy from pouhon and watched the race from the straight up to Les Combes. We had a good view of the TV and could see Blanchimont, but it was very easy to slip over it was so wet and steep!

Have been looking at Page & Moy - £369 seems pretty reasonable for Sat/Sun and Eurostar/B&B.

Anybody used them before? Any problems/pitfalls I should be aware of?

Ordered mine before Christmas there was a discount on the official site up until the 31st Dec. I always do GA at Spa its a very good place to get the most out of GA with the steep sides you can view above the barriers.

I used them the first time I went to Spa in 2007. They were very good, very well organised etc. My only issue was they used hotels in Brussels, presumably to keep costs down, but a fair drive from the circuit. You have to be up very early to get the coach in, and on race day it took us 5 hours to get back to Brussels due to the heavy traffic.

We had grandstand seats so were fine with timings, but I guess if you are on general admission, the best seats will have gone by the time the coach arrives at the circuit. That price you have given probably doesn't include a race ticket, so just be aware!!

If you want someone else to do all the organising and take all the stress etc, I'd use them, but once I knew the score I organised my own trips, buying tickets direct from the circuit.

One thing to note about race tickets is the circuit do not send them out until a few days before the race (to minimise fraud risk apparently), so you'll need to be at home (or your delivery address) just before you leave for Spa, and it can be quite stressful! Buying through an agency will obviously add a few days to this as a third party are involved.

As above with Page & Moy you spend a lot of time on the coach went to Le Mans back in 95 with MRI much better and more layed back but have made my own way to events ever since then and its so much nicer driving in europe is nice and you get to see a lot more

Agree with the above on seating - one of the best circuits for General Admission but be prepared for a long walk (you will not believe how steep Eau Rouge is until you walk it).

As for timings, we sat at Pouhon last year on the flat at the back (8 of us with a 2 year old...) and got the only space left that wasn't on the bank - at 8am. It's a long day.

For me, the best place is in the woods above the bus stop, turns 19 and 20 - where Vettel ran into Button last year / Hamilton overtook Kimi in 08 - or Les Combes, turns 7,8,9. But, would guess if you are not there by 7am the best places will be gone.

But then from what we saw last year the grandstand at the bus stop hides the first apex unless you are there very early and can get up against the fence around 100m before the corner

Agreed - I was talking about General Admission at the bus stop. If you can get in the trees you see the whole corner.

In the Grandstand, you are right. Get there early so you can see the chicane over your right shoulder then fantastic seats, but otherwise you are just looking at the start of the pit straight.
