AP CP5100 Front Calipers

Does anyone know if these will fit a griff 500 with 15" estorils?

yes with an adaptor/mounting plate made up, however, these calipers take a 305/max 319mm(I think thats right)diameter discs, in which case no they won`t fit.

I`ll dig around as I played with these myself a while ago, from memory I did fit on the estorils, but the disc was 283 diam and it was a very tight squeeze, and the pads didn`t fit the discs 100%, I later changed to 17" front wheels with 319mm discs and it all worked much better.
the bigger discs were ford items, but the offset was different, so this is where you play around with making up different mounting plates for the calipers, the mounting positions for these calipers are totally different to the standard griff ones anyway.

I think you're talking about AP5200 calipers Cliff, they're the normal ones used on TVRs I believe.

The AP5100 have the mounts much closer together and are designed for smaller applications (less than 300mm disks) IIRC.

Hi Guys, Thanks for your speedy response.

The ones I'm interested in came off a competition Mondeo and are complete with mounting adaptors (See photo's)and 295mm discs (25mm thick, 12 hole fixing).
Alloy mounting bells 110mm PCD - 4 hole hub fixing.



Would it be reasonable to assume that the centre of the alloy mounting bells would be the same thickness as normal discs i.e. wouldn't affect the offset?

the best way forward now that you have all of the parts, is to strip one side down, and assemble the stuff you`ve got and measure the position of the caliper against the disc.

Does that offset look right against the TVR one? My hazy memory suggests some of the kits that put the rotor closer to the spokes are the ones that even foul larger wheels on the TVR?

The rotor offset does look a little small compared to mine. I know it's not using the standard discs, but the offset is close to standard.
