What's the difference with the "B"?

I notice that the 42X20 & I think 42S20 also have "B" models.

Are they newer versions? I understood the S was older tech anyway, so does the S20B bring it up to the same tech as the 42G20 but without the CAST stuff?

According to my user guide the B means it's a UK model.

The "B" suffix is the official full model code, but because people are lazy, they'll only search for/write the main part of the code - i.e. 42G20/50VT20/etc - most resellers don't bother with using the suffix on their site.
Some do, and try to make people think (if it's more expensive than competitors') it's a different TV, therefore as per the norm, more expensive equals better.

All the ones I saw when I was looking were 'B', and both of the ones I bought are. I think it's just because it doesn't signify anything important to the end user it gets dropped. I had read elsewhere it signified they had some tougher screen but I believe that's BS. smile
