I thought Albar at first, but not in such an English workshop!

The vented rear quarter clearly identifies it as a De Bruyne Grand Sport.

It came out of an otherwise stillborn Gordon Keeble project.. They made 2 prototypes which were displayed at the NY Motor show, wearing the De Bruyne badge.

The factory is Southampton and the
boss is De Bruyne himself.

The factory is easily distinguishable from Newport Pagnel by the wider (12 inch) spacing between the skylights.

De Bruyne is easily identifiable owing to the way he parted his hair..

Anyone mistaking it for a Spada Zagato is clearly senile... Or going blind.. Or both...

I too thought Lancia when I saw the front end treatment and the front flanks.

I'd have expected a more pronounced double bubble roof if it was a Zagato?

The 'guy who looks like the boss' is Ercole Spada.

The car is a one-off Zagato bodied DBS.
Sorry, but are you sure??

Every photo I have seen from NP has Astons in the background, and nothing else. Why would there be an old Mini, Rover P5, Vauxhall Viva and other cars in view but not an Aston? Evemn works service never worked on anything other then their own brands.

I cant see which person who looks like the boss is Spada. The car to me is a mystery, but I would say the lines are more Bertone then Zagato.

A one-off Zagato bodies DBS?? With that wheelbase? I've never heard of a Zagato bodies DBS before. Do you have any more information about it? Any pictures? Details? No website I have seen mentions a Zagato DBS

If you google 'Lancia Zagato' and 'Alfa Zagato' you'll get some similar images, but I'm not so sure you do when you google Aston Martin Zagato.

The front of the car looks more like Lancia to me. smile

Looks a bit 'Ogle'ish to me, also wheels appear to be old ARE Torque Thrusts, so maybe American based?

Could it be the Jensen works? Is that a C-V8 in the background and an Interceptor with the bonnet up? Although the print is dated 1986, everything else in the photos looks older than that.

I'm pretty sure it's a de Bruyne, what came out of the remnants of the Gordon Keeble project. Struggling to find anything on it though.

Edit: de Bruyne, not de Bruynes...

I'm also guessing that Peter Fluck is the boss-looking guy.
