So, trip to the Alpes for the holiday and came back with these stats.

Tip meter had rolled around, so 1037.5 miles when I took these at Calais on the way back

Included a trip between L2A and Alpe D'Huez.

I reckon pretty good, my milkfloat averages about 38, but on the run it goes down as it only uses the engine, the mpg also goes down when its cold as it keeps turning the engine on to warm everything up.

67.9mph over 1000 miles, very impressive.

Hope you didn't break any speed restrictions?!

Motorways I stick it at 143kmph on the cruise control (89mph) on the basis of 10%+5kmph being the normal limit they start to pull you over. Despite whizzing past lots of radar traps at that speed I've never been pulled over.

Having a tag for the tolls helps as well - quite a few you can go through at 30-50kmph nowdays.

From my GPS my 2100 mile trip to the alps and back from aberdeen, average speed of 60mph, average of 25.2 mpg, top speed of 154... with 3 people, 3 persons luggage for two weeks and three downhill bikes dismantled in the boot of the RS6. That day I past a line of 3 nobles pootline along towards the channel tunnel wink

That's why I asked good or bad. Personally I think for a 4.8l 350bhp petrol engine in a 2.3 ton 4x4 doing an average of 70mph it's pretty stunning.
