UK Airport - LHR - live close and hate the "holiday" airports
Flight - Scheduled - decent carrier - have had some dreadful expereinces with chartered flights
Destination - Beach/pool holiday
When - 1st week in July
Duration - 7 days (maybe bit more, 8/9?)
Temp - hot high 20s low 30s
Hotel - 4-5 star or villa - "proper" 5 star not package med 5 star.

Any ideas? I'd really like personal recommendations

What about Dubai? Portugal?

I've googled and Trip Advised but not getting anywhere.

Suspect the PH massive will know better.

Thanks in advance

Ok. We have gone to Greece for the last 3 years & absoultely love it. Of all the places we have been, this by far is the best. I think you probably want more from a holiday though.

Greece is good. We've been to this place last couple of years and it was fantastic.

Main complaint was the flights. Monarch etc, last year checked in 5 hours before takeoff and couldn't get a seat together. Also, the flights are always from Gatwick (which not keen on).

May yet default to the same place again.

Looking at other options.

Malta is nice and hotthat time of year and only 2hr 30min from Heathrow. Air Malta fly direct and are a good scheduled airline with a new fleet of airbuses:

This is a lovely hotel in a lovely location:

or for a fantastic hotel in a busier location (restaurants/bars/cafes etc):

Also the islands have loads of culture and history to see.

Have a quick drool over the site then give them a call. The advice they give is amazing and the holidays are the best available.
