Hood to rear deck bolts.

The small (M6???) bolts that attach the the rear screen to the rear deck appear to be turning inside the back indow frame and I cannot see how to get a spanner or whatever inside to hold to bolt head.
Judging by the way the bolt feels as I turn it (a rusty feel) I suspect that if they were captive nuts they have correoded to the point where they've broken off.
Any suggestions guys?

BTW the chassis now has most of the running gear attached, will post a few piccys soon.

There are 2 ways that I found:
1. Cut the hood and replace - not the one I used in the end
2. Use a small screwdriver bit (the hexagonal type that fit into a multi screwdriver that is about 15mm long) and squeeze it into the gap between the hood materal and screw. The hold this in place with pressure through the hood material and a spanner inside the car then undo the bolts in the boot. It'll take time and 2 people but worked for me. Once off the car you can just about change the bolts for allen key type.
I suppose a 3rd option exists, namely cut the bolts and replace.

ETA I also put wingnuts on the underside which makes it much easier to do up and undo the bolts later

They are coach bolts pushed down through the thin fibreglass hoop, the hood is then fitted to the hoop and covers the heads of the bolts and they are a complete nighmare to remove. If you are having a new hood just cut the material for access, if not then you can either get a nut splitter on the nuts below the rear deck. I had a similar problem - not sure if it's the same setup though. I couldn't get a screwdriver on the heads where the hood meets the boot, but the bolts themselves were pretty long. I put two extra nuts on the bottom of the bolts (which are accessed from the the boot) and nipped them together. I then put one spanner on that to hold the bolt and another on the rusted nut. Worked a treat - a couple of turns loosened it then I could take them off using fingers.
